Each year Winterland Lodge & Taproom seeks friendly, passionate and reliable hospitality staff to join our small team for the season in Nozawa Onsen. Every member of our team plays a key role delivering a memorable experience for our guests. We operate two taprooms, a boutique hotel as well as three weekly rentals. The responsible service of alcohol is required and we do not hire staff under 21 years of age.

Winterland Lodge is a boutique hotel with just 6 guest rooms and a fun, family-friendly restaurant specializing in craft beer and custom-made gyoza. All staff interact with guests so we are looking for outgoing, hospitality-minded people to join our team. Each year we have a few positions available if you have the following experience please send your CV with relevant experience and tell us why you think you'd be a great addition to our team.

- Chefs (Winterland) > Must be experienced work in a small team in a busy environment and capable of delivering quality consistently. Must qualify for a working holiday visa, a working visa (requires at least 10 years experience) or have a valid visa or residence card to work in Japan.
- Cook (Winterland / The Craft Room): Must qualify for a working holiday visa, a working visa (requires at least 10 years experience) or have a valid visa or residence card to work in Japan.
- Bartender / Taproom (Winterland / The Craft Room): Have experience and interest in beer systems, pouring craft beer, avoiding wastage, selling and suggesting craft beer and cider, making basic cocktails, organizing the bar, comfortable with customer facing bartending roles in a fast environment, enjoying working as part of a team.
- Barista (Winterland / The Craft Room) > Have experience working with two-group espresso machines and able to consistently delivery great espresso drinks to customers, basic latte art and love customer-facing roles.
- Lodge Manager (Winterland Lodge / Yoji Nozawa): Able to professionally communicating with guests by phone, e-mail and face to face, be hospitality driven, be detailed oriented with lodge/housekeeping duties and training others to deliver the standard fore each arrival.
- All-Rounder (Winterland / The Craft Room / Yoji Nozawa: Housekeeping, Server, Kitchen Support, maintenance, willing to work in a fast paced environment, be a problem solver, be able to do basic maintenance, willing to learn and be a team player.
